As far back as I can remember I have been interested in all forms of visual art. Born in Poland, I attended public school there and art was a compulsory subject, at which I excelled. This emphasis on art an early age provided me with a solid foundation for drawing techniques and a ready outlet for creative expression. After moving to Canada and graduating from high school I attended teacher’s college in a two year program which included art history and appreciation as well as methods for teaching art.

In the early 1980’s I moved to the UK where I studied art and design for two years (A Levels). After returning to Canada I took oil, and watercolour painting courses from a number of teachers in Ottawa and the Quinte area. In 1995 I moved to southern Illinois and studied art for three years at an area college where I became particularly interested in the Impressionists, most especially Monet. On return to Canada in 1999 I became active in the art associations in the Quinte area and was the first Chairman and a founding member of the highly successful Rednersville Road Art Tour in Prince Edward County. I am a part time resident of Ottawa and a member of the Nepean Fine Art League and the Ottawa Mixed Media Artists association. I have exhibited at numerous venues in Ottawa and continue to display my work at various locations and shows in the Ottawa area.

My art now is a mixture of traditional and contemporary paintings with particular attention to colour and texture.  I have paintings displayed in homes and businesses in Canada, the United States and England.
